Fire Costs Money

For the first half of 2009 insurers paid out £639 million — £3.6 million every day — for damage caused by fires.
This is the highest half yearly figure ever, and follows on from last year’s record high level of fire claim costs
(Association of British Insurers).

In England, in 2004, the total cost to business, including property damage, lost business etc. was estimated at £2.5 billion (HM Government statistics).

I can provide you with a complete fire risk assessment package for self completion or undertake the premises fire risk assessment for you.

Don't let this happen to your building

If you do not carry out a Fire Risk Assessment, you will not know the potential hazards in your building and in the law you will be committing a criminal offence and probably invalidating your buildings insurance policy.

In the event of a fire, your insurance company may not pay out if a risk assessment had not been undertaken. You could face fines of thousands of pounds, or even a prison sentence.

I may be able to save you money

By completing a fire risk assessment you will be fulfilling your legal obligations and providing a fire safe working environment for employees and customers. You could save money by ensuring you are not over-provided with fire extinguishers, and servicing dates for maintenance of fixed systems are at the correct time periods.

Fire risk assessments that I have undertaken and the significant findings thereof have been audited by several different local enforcing Fire Authorities and also OFSTED inspectors and insurance assessors. To date these completed Fire Risk Assessments have been judged "not found wanting in any area" and "suitable and sufficient" to cover all articles of the Fire Safety Order.
